Shed Roof Styles
Shed-n-Deck offers 5 standard type roof systems for you shed. Other custom options are available, including a steeple roof for increased storage volume. Shed-n-Deck will gladly design any roof style that you require. So if you would like a roof on your shed that resembles or perfectly matches your home, we can do that.
Gable Roof
The gable roof is the most common roof style available, and is also the least expensive option. If your storage needs are limited, Shed-n-Deck recommends the gable roof.
Barn Roof
The barn roof - technically know as a gambrel roof - is the second most common roof style. Although, storage volume is lower with the barn style roof, most of our customers choose the barn style because of the character it adds to their home. There are several ways to build a barn roof. Shed-n-Deck prefers to use the traditional barn roof design, based on a semi-circle.
Shed Roof
The shed roof is a flat uni-directional roof that is typically chosen for it's stylistic characteristics. The shed roof is also commonly used in open sided horse sheds, wood sheds, and other open storage buildings.
Salt Box Roof
The salt box roof is a slightly mis-shapen gable style roof. On our sheds, the salt box offers slightly more overhead storage than the shed and gable styles.
Hip Roof
The hip roof offers the least amount of overhead storage, and is typically chosen for it's characteristics.
