Entire house remodel
To increase living space, the up-stairs and down-stairs, which were originally in different parts of the house, were both moved so that they stacked. This picture was taken from the kitchen at the rear of the house facing the front wall. You can see that most of the exterior walls had to be rebuilt.
The kitchen framing was complete, and drywall was hung and finished. The living and dining room is also ready to be rocked.
The dining room and arch way are rocked and finished. Next step paint.
This view is standing in the space that is now occupied by the stairs. This was taken the day we began work. The blue wall to the left is the top of the old stairs. The window to the right of the door is where the entry door into the garage was placed.
After drywall finish is complete. Notice the door? It's the original. One of the few items that remained.
Standing at the front entry way looking into the dining room. Here you can see the location of the original up-stairs. The stairs leading into the basement were at the back of the house.
During the frame process. Still need to remove the original ceiling fan.
After drywall finish and paint. The laminate floors are laid, but still very dirty.
