Basement Framing
Basement frame out in Lees Summit, Missouri. The existing ceilings were 15 feet tall, which was too much space for the home owner, so we dropped them down to 10 feet. The door opening in the back leads to the mechanical room.
Entertaining is very important to this client. This drop was installed to help accent the planned bar area, and offer a place to keep memorabilia. Accent lighting was placed above the shelf to offer more accent and set a softer mood.
The original door opening wasn't a grand enough entrance into the home owners entertainment haven, so we tore out the old wall and installed an arch entryway leading into the basement.
Even the bathroom waiting area was given special treatment with a 3 level coffer ceiling with inset lighting(not installed in this image). The door opening leads into the bathroom.
